Jeff Gress is an artist who creates murals, traditional sign painting, and gold leafing. His idea was to present the notion that visitors come to Hawaii to see paradise, but often don't venture beyond the immediate area. He aims to encourage people to think about exploring greater Hawaii beyond the typical tourist spots. Gress used to live in Waikiki for 10 years, and it was important for him to return to the area to do the work he does now, as such opportunities are not as common.
