is an artist and muralist based in Honolulu, Hawaii, who paints canvas and large-scale works, mostly depicting the human form, portraiture, and Hawaiian flora. This piece is a secondary interpretation from another piece that was done on the side of Bishop Museum. When driving on H1, headed towards the airport, westbound, you can see it on the side of the freeway. Titled Malamalama meaning light or guiding light, meant to portray not just the light she physically holds in her hand but also the light of knowledge.
Pow Wow is an arts collective that for over a decade centered around an annual mural festival in Kaka'ako, which has since expanded globally, but has now shifted to curating smaller shows as a creative agency, while maintaining a network of local and international collaborating artists. Visitors to Hawaii can experience the beauty of the islands through the immersive art and diverse styles of local artists at the Hyatt.
